Spencer is a native of  Houma, Louisiana, and moved to Baton Rouge to attend college at Louisiana State University in 2006. After completing his undergraduate degree, Spencer concurrently earned his Juris Doctor and D.C.L. from LSU Law School, and a Masters in Business Administration from the LSU Flores MBA Program in May of 2012. His primary practice areas are residential and commercial real estate, Louisiana property law, mineral rights, successions and litigation. He is the managing attorney for Touchdown Title Company, a d/b/a of Shockey & Associates law firm.

Spencer and his wife Brooke are at home in Baton Rouge, where they are raising their young son Luke.
